Note: DSU II Impact Packages do not include software, installation
and programming. The software MUST be ordered separately and is direct-shipped
from Comdial to Preferred, Preferred Gold, and Platinum Dealers only. PLEASE
ORDER USER GUIDES WHEN ORDERING SOFTWARE. One of the main differences between
previous and new DSU units is the software. A software cartridge is no
longer required. The software is stored in 'Flash" memory and therefore
requires that a PC with Microsoft Windows (TM) be used to load the software
into each of the units. The above software packages consist of a hardware
key, floppy disks that contain the software, and floppy disks that contain
on-line documentation for the installation and maintenance of the system.
The different size "users" allow the installer to buy the software in bulk.
For example, a five-user software package allows the installing company
to install software into five units of any size. The software key can also
be used to upgrade existing customers to the latest revision of software.
However, it is important to note that an upgrade constitutes one use of
the key.
