TELEDOTCOM LAUNCHES
THE NEW YORK IRISH NETWORK

NEW YORK CITY -- March 17, 1997 -- Teledotcom, Inc. (www.nytele.com) of New York City, announced today, St. Patrick’s Day 1997, that its latest Internet website focusing on the Irish, the New York Irish Network (www.nyirish.net) is now on-line.

The NYIrishNet provides free webspace to non-profit Irish and Irish-American groups in order to promote Irish cultural and educational events. In addition, the website includes an extensive listing of local Irish Businesses, Irish Pubs and Restaurants and hyper-links to Irish genealogy, travel, tourism and entertainment websites.

The NYIrishNet is the inaugural website for the USAIrishNet (www.usairish.net), a national network of websites devoted to linking Irish-American communities across the United States. Websites to be launched in the next three months include: Boston, Connecticut, New Jersey, Chicago, Philadelphia, and San Francisco.

Since New York was the landing site for the greatest number of Irish immigrants, we decided that New York IrishNet would be the appropriate starting point,” says Jim McGuire, President of Teledotcom, a leading provider of telecommunications and internet services in the Tri-state area. “The New York IrishNet will become an important resource for Irish and Irish-Americans in New York or those visiting New York”

Founded in 1987, Teledotcom offers a single-point-of-contact for all the telecommunications needs of a small or medium sized business. Through marketing agreements with MFS and Sprint Communications, Teledotcom provides complete systems-solutions which include local and long distance services, business telephone systems, call processing systems and Teledotcom’s own Internet services. To learn more about the NYIrishNet, please call 1 (212) 675-6565 ext. 13 or send an e-mail to jmcguire@nyirish.net.
