The PCIU (Personal Computer Interface Unit) gives clients complete computer telephony integration with your existing system. The PCIU gives clients the power of controlling complex telephone functions like conference calling and voice mail directly from the personal computer. With the introduction of the PCIU, Teledotcom is poised to offer individual customers computer telephony without the need of a LAN (Local Area Network).
The PCIU is very easy to install. The PCIU easily connects to the serial port of your PC and your wall jack. Plug in your Comdial Telephone and load the PCIU software onto your computer...That's it!
The PCIU is fully compatible with Microsoft's TAPI standard. PCIU also allows seamless intergration with Personal Information Managers which can be used to control telephone functions. With the Comdial PCIU, clients are also sent wideopen.call and Visual Call Manager software.

Windows 3.1 or 95, with available serial port. A 9-pin serial cable is supplied with the PCIU.

Comdial digital telephones that support softkey operation. Requires a local 115V-AC power source for the PCIU.
