Comdial Corporation (Nasdaq: CMDL) announced today that Verizon has selected its FX II Business Communication System (PBX) for use in the company's
small and medium-sized offices. In addition, Verizon will utilize
Comdial's QuickQTM Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) application.
QuickQ allows supervisors to optimize call center operation by dynamically
routing calls among available customer agents, providing real-time
system utilization benchmarks and compiling statistical call-flow reports.
Verizon Corporate Telecommunications Services completed the selection
of Comdial. This unit is responsible for providing information technology
solutions to Verizon subsidiaries. Verizon plans to replace currently
installed branch office systems with Comdial IP-ready, FX II Systems.
"We are very enthused to be selected by Verizon," explained
Jim Randolph, Comdial's Vice President of Distribution and
Major Accounts. Randolph continued, "We have worked to address
Verizon's unique application requirements. Additionally, we
are able to offer Verizon unparalleled customer support and specialized
services."
